The next ceremonies of Oscars will take place on February 28, 2016, on February 26, 2017 and March 4, 2018, announced the Academy of Motion Picture Arts andSciences (AMPAS).
The
academy revealed the official dates of the next installment of the major Hollywood
awards considered.
The
next two years will remain with similar dates, while the 90th edition
was adjusted to not overlap with the Olympic Winter Games, which will take
place from 9 to 25 February in South Korea.
The
Academy also announced that next year's ceremony nominations will be announced
on January 14, 2016.
All
deliveries will take place in the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, considered the
site for the awards ceremony to highlight film.
Producers
David Hill and Reginald Hudlin have announced that Chris Rock will host the
Oscars in 2016.
Oscar
fans will recall that Chris welcomed once in 2005 and is now ready to return to
the stage shows;
"I
am very happy to be celebrating the Oscars. It's great to be back."
Rock
is returning to host the Oscars for the second time live on Sunday February 28,
2016 on ABC.
Hill
and Hudlin said:
"Chris
Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry is comedian, actor, writer,
producer, director, and documentary -. What he has done will be a host of
phenomenal Oscar."
Rock
is known for its history of comedy. He has won four Emmy awards for his comedy
series and specials. He has also won three Grammy Awards for his comedy albums
Never Scared, Bigger and Blacker and roll with the new.
Recently,
the comedian has dabbled in direction. He directed the comedy special "AmySchumer: Live at the Apollo," which premiered this month on HBO. In 2014
he wrote, directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film "TopFive", and in 2009 ventured into the world of film as writer, producer and
star of "Good Hair".
