Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, along with fellow filmmaker Ang Lee, the actor John Krasinski and the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Cheryl Boone, announced on January 14 Academy Award nominations, according to information from official site of the academy.
Del
Toro and Lee will announce the nominees of animated film, cinematography,
costume design, documentary, short documentary, makeup and hairstyles, original
song, animated short film, short film live, editing and sound mixing.
Meanwhile,
Boone and Krasinski reveal the nominees of actor, actress, supporting actor,
supporting actress, director, editing, foreign film, original score, bestpicture, production design, visual effects, adapted screenplay and bestoriginal screenplay.
Mexican
wrote and produced such films as "The Devil's Backbone,"
"Hellboy," "Pan's Labyrinth" and "The Scarlet
Summit".
Meanwhile,
Krasinski won the Emmy for "The Office" and participated in the films
"13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" and "PromisedLand".
Lee
won Oscars as best foreign film director with "Crouching Tiger, HiddenDragon" and "Brokeback Mountain" and directed "Life ofPi".
